Applications and Support Engineer

Job Description

This full time position is to help customers use and apply Intrepid Control Systems products. A candidate for this position must be willing to talk frequently with customers and help them learn how to use products from Intrepid. You must have technical skills with or be willing to learn vehicle and embedded network technology including: CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI and others. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows are also required. Fluency in Japanese, Korean, German, or Spanish is a plus. Other responsibilities of this position will include conducting training at customer sites and developing written documentation for customers to use our products.

With this in mind, we require that you learn some concepts about a vehicle network technology called CAN (Controller Area Network) before you come into an interview. If you are unwilling or unable to learn about CAN and present what you have learned to us in an interview, you need not apply.

Intrepid Application Process (submission deadline: December 31, 2010)

  3. Download the required data files. download
  4. Use these resources to learn about CAN:
    • Intrepid Training Videos link (concentrate on the video called "Getting started with CAN")
    • Wikipedia information about CAN link
    • Kvaser Web site information about CAN link
  5. Prepare a document (PPT or DOC) to present to Intrepid that answers the following questions:
    • What is a CAN message?
    • What is a CAN signal?
    • What is a DBC or Database file?
    • What is a CAN Arbitration ID (ArbID)?
    • Include as much information about CAN that you want. The more information that you include, the better. Information must also be presented in a clear and concise manner.

Windows C++ Engineer

Job Description

This full time position is to be a part of our product development team in creating graphical user interface software and other features primarily using a Windows C++ development environment. You must have technical skills with or be willing to learn vehicle and embedded network technology including: CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI and others. Fluency in Japanese, Korean, German, or Spanish is a plus.

  • Expert in Borland C++ and VCL Controls
